Product Description
Knauf 12.5mm soundboards are comprised of a sheet of gypsum firmly bonded to a blue paper face. Knauf Soundshield is best known for its enhanced acoustic performance, but it also proves to be an excellent fire panel and moisture panel. To further its fire resistance abilities, we recommend using two boards in the same build-up. As its name would suggest this board offers enhanced acoustic performance, as well as excellent fire resistance (offering up to 120 minutes of fire protection). One of the biggest benefits of installing Knauf Soundshield is that it provides a basis for plaster and paint. As soon as this gypsum plasterboard is installed you can crack on with decorating - no hold-up.
